Classic Sausage Cheese Balls

Last week, I made Homemade Spicy Country Sausage.  I used some of the sausage to make these great Sausage Cheese Balls.   With a solar oven, these tasty treats can easily be baked at a tail gate party, camping, or the kid’s soccer game.

Sausage Cheese Balls

  • 3 cups Bisquick
  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese (16 oz)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary flakes
  • 1/2 tsp parsley flakes

Pre-heat solar oven while preparing the ingredients.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly.   Shape mixture into 1 inch balls.  Bake about 1 – 1 1/2 hours in the solar oven. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

  1. Those might be the perfect market sample thing to do. Will probably make them just a tad smaller. But, it’s a great recipe. Thanks for sharing. Hope you’re not dealing with the scorching weather we’ve been having. Just had a little thundershower. The first in weeks. Didn’t last long enough, so far as I’m concerned. Come visit when you can…

    • This would be really good and easy to use for samples – bite size is the right size. Smaller ones would also cook faster, another advantage. Yes, it is very hot here too, and no rain. Typical of this time of year. We just try to stay inside. Stay cool and pray for rain.
